Dosage
TetraBOOST E-guard 15 is added to the petrol tank before or after refueling. The dosage depends on the amount of liters tanked and the desired octane number. With our calculator you can easily calculate how much TetraBOOST E-guard 15 you have to add.
We recommend using E5 (RON 98 or 99) as the base fuel. It is possible to mix E10 (RON 95) with TetraBOOST E-guard 15, see our FAQ for instructions (link). For all high-performance cars and for racing use, it is recommended to use Esso Synergy Surpreme+ as a base.
For regular street use, touring and storage we recommend to keep 101 Octane. The dosage does not have to be done very precisely, as any overdose will only marginally increase the octane number and an underdose will slightly lower the octane number.
In our calculator you can calculate how much TetraBOOST E-guard 15 you must add to the number of liters that are tanked. The calculator is bases on Euro 98*.
*) Only ‘desired octane rating 97’ is based on Euro 95.

Important guidelines:
– Follow the instructions on the packaging
– Use protective gloves/clothing and eye protection when mixing
– Can only be used in vehicles without a catalytic converter
– Only to be used in combination with unleaded petrol (not with lead substitute fuel or diesel)
– Do not mix with another additive (first drive the tank as empty as possible if other additives have been used)
– Dose a minimum octane number increase of 2 points to properly protect valves, stems and guides
– For competition cars with foam filled or bag tanks, mix TetraBOOST E-guard 15 and the base fuel in a separate can to ensure a uniform mixture.
– For road cars, an increase above 3 points may exceed the legal limit for tetraethyl lead for road fuel. Higher octane ratings can be achieved up to 106 octane for competition use.
